How does pricing work?

SuperTokens offers two deployment models: self-hosted or managed service. While the open source features are free to self-host at any scale, certain premium features require payment regardless of deployment choice.

Core Pricing Model

The pricing structure is based on Monthly Active Users, MAU, which counts unique logged-in users on your product each month, including new signups. This usage-based approach means you pay only for what you actually use, scaling with your application's growth. Additionally, we do not charge anything for the first 5000 MAUs when you are using the main authentication methods.

Paid features

Additional features, like Multi-Factor Authentication or Attack Protection Suite, incur additional charges based on different models. These features are also billable for self-hosted instances.

Volume Discounts and Support

If you have high user volumes (typically 10,000+ MAU) or complex requirements involving multiple tenants, MFA, SSO, and dashboard users, you qualify for bulk pricing discounts. Additionally, dedicated support packages are available for teams requiring expert guidance, guaranteed response times, and priority assistance.
